Terms of Service

The terms that govern access to and use of Captain Relay.

1. Agreement and provider

Captain Relay is provided by ZEBRABYTE LIMITED. These Terms apply when you create an account, connect a device, access the service or otherwise use Captain Relay. They are supplemented by the Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, any applicable DPA, order form, statement of work or other written agreement.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and must have authority to enrol, access and control every device, account, system, application and dataset that you connect to Captain Relay. If you use Captain Relay for an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation where applicable.

3. Service

Captain Relay provides authenticated, policy-controlled connections between supported AI clients and user-enrolled computers. Features may include device discovery, remote tools, persistent execution jobs, human approvals, native computer-use capabilities, automations, Crew workflows, audit records and integrations.

4. Remote execution and customer responsibility

Remote actions may execute commands, modify or delete files, interact with applications, change configuration, use network resources or otherwise affect a computer or connected service. You are responsible for choosing which devices and capabilities are enabled, configuring policies appropriately, reviewing approval requests, maintaining suitable backups and using the service only where authorised.

Captain Relay's approval and policy controls reduce risk but do not eliminate the need for human judgment. You must not rely on an AI assistant or automation as the sole authority for an action where independent review is reasonably required.

5. AI clients and third-party services

You may connect Captain Relay to third-party AI clients, integrations and services. Those third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. ZEBRABYTE LIMITED is not responsible for the independent acts, outputs or availability of a third-party service, although Captain Relay will continue to enforce its own server-side ownership and policy controls for Captain Relay remote actions.

6. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, protect authentication methods and promptly revoke access you no longer trust. You must not share credentials in a manner that circumvents account security. We may suspend sessions, devices or accounts where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect customers or comply with law.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Captain Relay for unauthorised access, malware, credential theft, destructive abuse, unlawful surveillance, security-control evasion, denial of service, unlawful data extraction or other conduct prohibited by the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.

8. Plans, payment and renewal

Where Captain Relay offers paid plans, the applicable price, billing period, included usage and material plan terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew according to the selected billing period until cancelled unless a different written agreement applies. Taxes may be charged where required. Subscription-management controls are provided through Captain Relay.

9. Cancellation

You may cancel a recurring paid subscription through the available account controls. Unless mandatory law or a written agreement requires otherwise, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. Consumer cancellation and refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

10. Customer data

You retain your rights in content and data you provide. You grant ZEBRABYTE LIMITED the limited rights necessary to process that data to provide, secure and support Captain Relay and to comply with law. Where ZEBRABYTE LIMITED acts as processor for a business customer, the DPA governs that processing.

11. Intellectual property

Captain Relay, its branding, documentation, service design and Captain Relay-specific software are owned by ZEBRABYTE LIMITED or its licensors, subject to third-party and open-source licences. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a written service-level agreement says otherwise. We may modify features where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, compatibility, technical operation or product development.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, unlawful use, security risk, abuse, non-payment or where required by law. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue. You may stop using Captain Relay at any time and may close your account subject to applicable billing, legal and retention obligations.

14. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Captain Relay is provided on an “as available” basis. AI-generated suggestions and automated actions may be incomplete, incorrect or unsuitable for a particular environment. You are responsible for reviewing consequential actions and maintaining appropriate backups, permissions and operational controls.

15. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any additional limitation of liability, indemnity or service-specific commercial terms agreed in an order form, statement of work or master services agreement apply according to their terms. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.

16. Governing law

For business customers, unless a signed agreement states otherwise, these Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. This does not remove mandatory protections that apply to consumers or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or product reasons. Material changes will take effect in accordance with applicable law and any contractual notice requirements.
